September 2011 - River Capital has acquired the assets of Five Star Manufacturing Company.

Five Star Manufacturing Company is a leading manufacturer of engine heating solutions for the automotive, trucking and heavy equipment aftermarket industry. Under its Kat's Heaters brand of products, the Company offers a wide variety of cold weather heaters and starting aids. In addition, under its SmartParts family of products, Five Star offers various grades of preformed, flat band and U bolt exhaust clamps geared for the heavy duty equipment market.

River Capital primarily invests in companies in the light manufacturing, distribution and select service industries with purchase prices of $10 million to $50 million. For add-on acquisitions, the firm considers companies with a purchase price less than $10 million.
